Leone Mabel Young

On Monday, May 27th, 2013, Leone Mabel Young peacefully passed away at Extendicare.  She was predeceased by her husband, Robert in 1979; son, Robert (Al) in 2006; and grandson, Corey in 2011; brothers: Edgar, Clarence and Harold; sister, Rose and sister-in-law, Dorothy.  Left to mourn Leone is her daughter-in-law, Dorothy of Sherwood Park, AB; grandson, Geordie (Pheak) and great-grandson, Alexander all of Cambodia; great-grandsons: Jason of Sherwood Park, AB, Travis and their mother Gabe of Chestermere Lake, AB; sisters: Kathleen Meyer, Joy (Joe) Hoffman and Ruth Repchinski.  Leone celebrated her 100th birthday on March 15th, 2013.  Born at Bateman, SK, she married Robert in 1937 and together they farmed in Shamrock, moving to Sherwood Park, AB in 1968.  Leone moved back to Moose Jaw in 2006.  A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Doug Shepherd officiating in the Extendicare Activities Room.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Extendicare for their dedicated service and personal care to Leone.  Their devotion to looking after Leone will be truly remembered.  May God bless all of you for all your kindness to Leone and family.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Leone’s name may be made to the Extendicare Residents Activity Fund, 1151 Coteau St. W., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 5G5.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  James Murdock, Funeral Director. 306-693-4550.
