Bruce Wayne Young
It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories, that we announce the passing of Bruce Wayne Young. Bruce was born July 2, 1949, in Hanover Ontario and passed away on Friday October 14, 2016 in Moose Jaw, Sk. Bruce is predeceased by his father and step mother, Donald and Oriel Young and his niece Angel Young. Bruce is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Linda (Wetaski) Young, his daughter; Nicole (Bill) Walker, son; Cory Young and the apple of his eye granddaughter; Sarah Walker. Bruce is also survived and lovingly remembered by brothers; Keith (Brenda) Young of Edmonton AB., Allen (Brenda) Young, Scott Young (Kathy) of Hanover ON., sisters; Dawn Marie Young of Hanover ON., Wendy (Al) Rush of Elmwood ON., uncle Armand (Vi) Young and their family in Hanover, ON., uncle Bob (Helen) Young and their families in Medicine Hat, AB. and numerus nieces and nephews. Bruce is also survived and lovingly remembered by his mother, Ruth Bullard and his step brothers, step sisters and their families, all of Hamilton Ontario. Bruce has been a kidney dialysis patient since 2000. He was a member of the Canadian Forces for 27 years retiring as a radar tech. in Moose Jaw in 1994. Bruce loved hunting, fishing, the casino and playing cards and helping Linda with the gardening. He loved playing all sports, especially baseball where he excelled with the Moose Jaw Junior Ranks military team and was scouted by the Houston Astros. Following Bruce’s request there will be no funeral service. A private memorial tea will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bruce’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask. 1738 Quebec Avenue, Unit 26 Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9, Kidney Foundation of Canada #1 – 2217 Hanselman Court Saskatoon, SK S7L 9Z9, or a charity of one’s choice.
