Wilfred Ivan Work
Wilfred Ivan Work, born November 15th, 1928 in Pilot Mound, MB., passed away after a short but courageous battle with cancer on November 28th, 2010 with his family by his side. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 3rd, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate. Ivan was predeceased by his mother and father, William and Vera Work; brothers, Bill and David; sisters, twin sister Iona, Mary, Frances and Shirley; and grandson, Aaron Work. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Armalene; son, Daryn (special friend Rhealene and family) and grandsons Robert and Austin; son, Curtis (daughter-in-law Jodi) and grandchildren Jenna and Ryan; sisters, Enid (Phil), Elaine (Ken) and Ellen; sisters-in-law, June (Barry), Esther (Les – deceased), Dolores (Gord); and several nieces and nephews. Ivan farmed all of his life and loved to work with his hands building things. He was the president of the Tuxford Rec Board for several years and worked for the R.M. of Moose Jaw for seven years.
