TYSON (TY) WILFRED WOLFE
Tyson Wolfe, aged 87 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Wednesday, January 7th, 2015. Dad was born on March 15th, 1927 on the Wolfe homestead near Odessa, SK. He spent his younger years on the farm trapping rabbits, riding horses and doing chores. He often shared fond memories of the good times growing up with his family on the farm. Dad left the farm, moved to Regina and started a career at Canadian National Railway. He worked there for over 30 years. Dad later, to support his growing family, held a second part-time job working evenings and weekends at Fitz’s B/A, later Gulf Service Station, in Regina, a job he really enjoyed. He met his wife, Doreen Wallace, exchanging birthday greetings over the telephone. Mom and dad were both born on March 15th. Not too long after they met in person, they dated and then wed on September 20th, 1958. They had 3 children and lived most of their lives in Regina. They moved to Moose Jaw in 2012 where they met many new friends at Mulberry Estates and then onto Foyer d’Youville in Gravelbourg in fall of last year. Dad spent his retired life taking care of his wife, family, home and yard. He especially enjoyed barbequing for family suppers. Next to mom, the love of his life was his cat Sammy. He missed her every day he couldn’t be with her near the end of his life. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Clara; parents-in-law, Jim and Mary; brothers: Herb (Nina), Lloyd (Bernice) and Cliff; sister, Alice (Marshall); brother-in-law, David (Sharon); and son-in-law, Dennis Scott. Left to mourn his loss: wife, Doreen; daughters, Sheila (Tom) White and Donna Scott (Glen); son, Tyler; grandchildren: Rion (Amber) White, Kim White (Ryan) and Chiara Wolfe; great-grandson, Zakery White; step-grandchildren, Tracy (Lyle) Grube and Chris Scott (Lisa) and their families; brothers-in-law: Jim (Diane) Wallace and Keith (Henry) Wallace/Krywko; sisters-in-law, Joan (Matt) Balzer and Betty Tworkowski; friend, Gayle Hryniuk; as well as many loved nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Thank you to Theresa Klyne and the Foyer d’Youville staff for the wonderful care you all gave dad. He is gone from our lives however he will always be loved and never forgotten. A Memorial Tea will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2015 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., with words of tribute beginning at 2:00 p.m., in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.
