Glen George Willfong
Glen George Willfong, aged 88 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Thursday, December 19th, 2019. He was predeceased by his parents, Oliver and Ethel; daughter, Tammy Lee; brother, Murray; sisters: Bernice, Helen, Grace and Myrtle; and son-in-law, Neil Ingalls. Glen will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dolores; sons, Randy (Teresa) and Trent (Leslie); daughter, Cheryl Ingalls; grandchildren: Corrie (Lesley), Paige, Tessa, Kyle and Hunter, Marty (Janna), Logan, Noah and Heidi, Vanessa (Fadi), Nabil, Adnan and Rahim, Tanner (Courtney), Tory (Tessa) and Charlee, Kevin (Bobbi), Quinn and Piper, Tammy (Bruce), Tyler (Victoria), Richard, Donna and Blake, Stacy (Cory), Aiden, Markayl, Keely, Caibre and Roark, and Kyle (Laurie), Lexi and Carson; brother, Harold; as well as extended family. Glen worked for CP Rail in his younger years and then in 1962 began a career as a Real Estate Broker (Dolmar Reality Ltd, later known as G. Willfong Real Estate & Auction) as well as Roadrunner Lube & Tune. He was a graduate of the Toastmaster Public Speaking program and auctioneering school. He was involved in fundraising for the Ina Grafton Gage Home. He spent 21 years on the Moose Jaw Public School Board, and also served on many boards for the City of Moose Jaw. He was a member of the Cosmopolitan Service Club for many years and was Governor for Western Canada while serving for the Cosmopolitan Club. Glen loved travelling with Dolores, going to Hawaii and across Canada to the Atlantic Provinces. Glen was a hard worker and enjoyed curling, square dancing, gardening and talking politics. He was also an avid Moose Jaw Warriors fan and supporter. Glen enjoyed many years with his wife Dolores, spending time at their cottage at Buffalo Pound Lake with his family and friends. A Celebration of Glen’s Life will be held on Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Ellis officiating. I was very saddened by the news of cousin Glen’s passing. I have fond memories of Glen’s kindness and gentle sense of humour. My thoughts are with Dolores and the rest of the family at this difficult time.
