Steve Wicharuk
Steve Wicharuk, aged 92 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away Wednesday, August 29th, 2012. A Memorial Lunch will be held on Thursday, September 6th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion, 268 High St. W., Moose Jaw, SK. He was predeceased by his son, Jerry Wicharuk (August 28th, 1994); son-in-law, Ken Duchscherer; and siblings: Nick, Alexandria and Mike. Steve is survived by his wife of 70 years, Kay and their children: daughter, Jane Fisher, grandson, Jamie Fisher and great-granddaughters, Ashianna and Akira; daughter, DianeDuchscherer and grandchildren, Duke Duchscherer (Emily) and Kimberly Fiddler (Barry); daughter-in-law, Sharleen Wicharuk, grandson, Kevin Wicharuk (Judy) and great-grandsons, Alex and Niko, grandson, Rob Wicharuk (Trina) and great-grandsons, Stefan and Hudson; siblings: Marie, Pearl, Ann, Danny, Wasyl and Sidney. Steve was well known as a barber in Moose Jaw for some 44 years. He was a charter member of the South Saskatchewan Wildlife Association for 30 years, earning him a life-time membership. He hunted, fished and gardened, all of these taking him to the outdoors which he dearly enjoyed. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
