Wade Allen Whitney
It is with sadness that the family of Wade Allen Whitney announce his passing on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents, Hartley and June (née: Christenson); wife, Margaret (née: Robson); nephew, Jared Whitney; and brothers, Walter and Melvin. To mourn Wade’s passing are his siblings: Irene (Don), Jeff, Jonathon, Alana and families; Ross (Betty), Jolene, Ben, Kyle and families; Wallace (Evelyn); Lyle (Diane), and Jamie; Ken and his family Cassandra, Meaghan and James.
Wade was born on September 10th, 1944 in Moose Jaw, SK. He met Marg in Thompson, MB. After getting married, they resided in Chaplin, SK. Wade worked for 26 years with Sask Minerals. After retiring, he worked a short while with Al Morrissey Earth Moving. Wade enjoyed spending time growing flowers, especially roses. After moving to Moose Jaw, SK Wade got involved with the Eagles Club. He loved playing crib no matter where he was. A few heart issues took their toll on Wade’s health.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Chaplin Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Wade’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, Unit 26 – 1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9 or Chaplin and District First Responders, Box 155, Chaplin, SK S0H 0V0.
