Herbert Arthur White

Herbert Arthur passed away suddenly on September 12, 2007 at the age of 52 years. Born October 31, 1954 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan he was the first child born to Gloria & Harlan White. Herb attended school at Brownlee, Sask. and began farming following his graduation. He later took a Rural Municipal Administration course and received his “C” rural classification certificate. He then became the rural administrator for the R.M. of Eyebrow #193 where he worked until his passing. Herb continued to farm along with his brother Chris and Uncle Bev. July 4, 1992 Herb married Wanda Elaine Sheward at Minto United Church and the couple moved to Eyebrow, Sask. Herb was active on many committees in the rural area such as: the Eyebrow Fire Protection Society as Secretary/Treasurer for many years and to this his passing as a Volunteer Firefighter, he was a founding member of the Eyebrow Fair Committee, a past president and member of the Eyebrow Curling Club, a volunteer for the Moose Jaw Exhibition Company and sat on the Board of the Central Butte Regency Manor. Herb was an avid reader, enjoyed science fiction and was a self taught computer geek and gamer. He was a wealth of useless information and a sponge of all trivia and information he could collect. Herb enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and was a hero to his many nephews and nieces and friends’ children. Herb went from being a cattleman and farmer to becoming an avid horseman, helping to raise a fine horse herd. He was a supportive husband and was sure to back any hair brained idea that passed through his wife’s head. He was a cancer survivor as a young adult. His gleeful smile and quick wit was sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face. He loved the farm and treasured the fact that he could purchase the farm from his father and carry on the family tradition. Herb will be sadly missed by his soul mate and wife Wanda, his family members, and all that he touched during his short life. Predeceased by mother Gloria White, Brother Anthony White, Grandparents Arthur and Hannah White, Grandparents Herbert and Grace Dallyn, Aunt Dale Lotts, Uncle Beverly and Aunt Dorothy White. Survived by loving wife Wanda White of Eyebrow Sk., Parents Harlan and Eileen White of Regina Sk., Brothers Christopher (Donna) White (Matthew and Megean) of Moose Jaw Sk., Morris (Leah) White (Jesse and Matthew) of Regina Sk., Wesley (Shelly) White (Kolby, Kolton, Lauren and Danielle) of Sherwood Park Alta., Sisters Vicki (Dan) Hansen (Daniel) of Gowrie Iowa, Anita (Leo) Perrault (Dallin and Dustin) of Thailand., Uncle Bruce Lotts (Bruce, Rene and Lori) Mother and Father In Law Coleen & Ray Sheward of Moose Jaw, Brother-In-Law Michael (Marci) Sheward (Ivy, Logan and Will) of Moose Jaw, along with numerous friends and acquaintances. Memorial services will be held on Monday September 17th at 2:00pm.
