DANNY JOHN MARSHALL WENDZINA

The family is very saddened and shocked at the sudden passing of our beloved Dan on Monday, November 4th, 2013.  Dan was born June 14th, 1955 in Assiniboia, SK and was the second child born to Gloria and Steve Wendzina.  Dan was always up for an adventure, but Moose Jaw always came back to be home base.  He spent most of his life being the family painter, working at Raider and Doepker.  He loved the outdoors and never turned down the opportunity for a fishing trip, day of sledding or a weekend just relaxing by the campfire.  Dan always was full of whit humour and was never short of “come backs”.  He was predeceased by his mother, Gloria; father, Steve; brothers, Kenny and Wade; special aunt, Yvonne and uncle, Tom.  Dan leaves his legacy to his soul mate, Fran Abbott; sister, Wanda (Paul), Desiree and Richele; Ken’s daughter, Kendall; son, Michael (Jen); daughters, Michelle and Danielle; his special grandchildren: Isabel, Desmond, Jordan, Autumn, Austin, Julian and Maddisyn; special cousins: Tim (Gwen), Susan (Brian), Terry, Peggy, Eddie, Darren (Lorna), Bobby and their families; and Fran’s children: Angela (Blair), Missy (Chris), Michelle (Dayton), James and their families.  A Celebration of Dan’s Life will be held on Tuesday, November 12th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Pastor Bill Thomson will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Dan’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Jeff Ofstie, Funeral Director 306-693-4550.
