Dwayne Orville Weeres
Dwayne Orville Weeres was born in Moose Jaw on January 28th, 1947 and passed away suddenly on Saturday January 23rd, 2010, just a few days shy of his 63rd birthday. Dwayne came from a large family. He was the second of ten children born to Eunice and Raymond Weeres. He worked for many years in the kitchens of the National and Modern Cafes, where he would take his nieces for shoestring fries with gravy after their Sundays at the movies. Dwayne was a very private person, making an occasional appearance for a cup of coffee, or just to say “Hi” to whomever had shown up for a visit at Brenda’s home. Dwayne lived with Brenda and Garry for the past 35 years. He was able to watch as his nieces grew into the wonderful women that they are today. He loved you all in his special way. Dwayne had a few hobbies that kept him busy. He loved to watch old westerns on T.V., he loved to collect comics… especially Archie, and he probably has one of the best album collections around. Mostly he loved doing word circle puzzles. He was very meticulous about doing these. Dwayne is predeceased by his father Ray, Grandma and Grandpa Aman, Burt and Josie Aman, Jackie Aman and four of his siblings Larry, Kathy, Sharon and Dennis. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother Eunice (Carl); sisters Brenda (Garry), Carol (Ken), Judy (Dennis), Darlene (Darrell), Debbie (Harley); and brothers Dale, Michael (Janet) and Mike; as well as many nieces and nephews. Chantelle, Kim, Carol-Ann, and Rhonda, you always had a special place in his heart. Our family will never be the same without you Dwayne… we love and miss you… The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 29th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Reverend Bob Langdon will officiate. Flowers are gratefully declined. For those so wishing, donations in memory of Dwayne may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
