DONNA NELLIE WARD (née: Liddle)

March 20th, 1948 to November 2nd, 2018

Donna Nellie Ward, aged 70 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Friday, November 2nd, 2018.  She was predeceased by her mom and dad; and sister, Kathleen.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Brian; children: Pat (Jennipher), Marty (Brenda), and Stacey (Stan); grandchildren: Kelin (Loic), Kayla (Lee), Lliam, Keaton, Kayden, Curren, Ryan, Carson, Britain, and Katrina; and great-grandchildren: Eloise, Brooklin, Theodore, and Ty.  Donna had a short teaching career that was permanently interrupted by having kids. She went on to work in retail stores, office work, and managing a craft store. She enjoyed volunteer canvassing, church involvement with the kids, boating, fishing, camping, and a motorcycle ride to Texas. She was a great cook and homemaker, and could make you socks or a suit.  If it involved needle and thread she could do it. Donna was unselfish and never complained. She’ll live on in the hearts and minds of her kids and their kids, whom she was able to pass on her calm and loving ways. Thank you to Dr. G.B. Van Heerden and the Extendicare staff for their wonderful, compassionate, exceptional care for the last 2 years. The shared laughter, tears and hugs have made her stay all the more bearable.  A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 24th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Donna’s name may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre c/o Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, SK S4T 7T1
