Yvonne Mary Waller

February 17th, 1935 – December 9th, 2010

On February 17th, 1935 the world was blessed with the birth of Yvonne Mary McCabe.  For the people who were fortunate to know and love her will experience a tremendous loss due to her death on December 9th, 2010.  She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald; son, Brent; mother, Mary Beck; father, Bill McCabe; mother-in-law, Willamine Waller and father-in-law, Cliffe Waller.  Yvonne leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, MaryAnn (Dennis) Allan of Medicine Hat, AB. and Teresa (Randy) Willfong of Moose Jaw, SK.; and daughter-in-law, Karen Waller of Moose Jaw, SK.  She was adored by eight grandchildren, Corrie (Leslie) Willfong, Teresa (Jason) Prosofsky, Marty (Janna) Willfong, Vanessa (Fadi) Zanidean, Joshua (Megan) Allan, Julianne (Ash) Hrdlicka, Kelly Waller and Tianna Waller; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, Ernie McCabe; brothers-in-law, Marvin Waller and Roger Waller; sisters-in-law, Elaine Waller and Janice (Darryl) Coward; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Yvonne was born on the family farm near Dummer, SK. where she spent her childhood.  The grandchildren loved to hear how Grandma would collect “cow chips” in the pasture for fuel.  The Rouleau, SK. skating rink is where Yvonne met her husband of 56 years, who according to her was “the most fun person to be with”.  Yvonne was devoted to her family and constantly put their needs before her own.  She treasured her friendships and had several life long friends.  Yvonne was employed with the Moose Jaw Union Hospital for 26 years where she worked in the CSR department.  She enjoyed the friendship of her co-workers.  Yvonne endured the difficult time in her life through God’s strength and her strong faith.  Her fun loving way, energy and laughter will be forever missed.  In keeping with Yvonne’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  Donations in Yvonne’s name may be made to the St. Andrew’s United Church, 60 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw, SK.
