Ruth (Russell) Walker
Ruth (Russell) Walker, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 21, at the age of 93. She is predeceased by the love of her life, Stu Russell and all 10 siblings. Mom is lovingly remembered by her sons: Dick (Phyl), Ron (Betty), Doug (Gladie) and daughter Judy (Bill); 13 grandchildren: Corrie, Wanda, Cliff, Rod, Adele, Jedd, Marc, Nancy, Jana, Amy, Amanda and Ryan; 28 great grand-children and two great-great grand-children. Mom loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and that love was shared with her family. Many hours every day were spent reading her bible and on her knees praying for each and every one of her family. Mom loved music and it often filled her home with her dancing and rejoicing and singing along. Now she is once again able to do that! In keeping with Mom’s wishes a private family memorial will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. The family would like to bestow our gratitude for the compassion and loving care given to mom by the staff on the East Wing at Extendicare. They are angels of mercy! Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
John 3:16 ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’
To. Mrs Walker family I would like to offer my sincere condolence to all of you, to hear that your dear mother has fallen asleep in dead. I personally appreciated to hear her strong faith and love she had for our Lord Christ Jesus. May Jesus reward her faith as he mentioned in John 5: 25 – 29.
Judy and family so sorry to hear of your moms passing she was a great lady, and such a friend to everyone. Thinking of you at this difficult time
I was blessed to visit grandma two days before she left this earth to be with the Lord. As I was leaving I looked at her from the door. I did not think she could see me as she was facing the other way but somehow she did and pulled out her hand and with two fingers she waved goodbye with a glimmer in her eye. That will stick with me my whole life! I love you grandma and I look forward to dancing and singing praises together again for eternity! PTL!
