Mary Elizabeth Waldenberger

Mary Elizabeth Waldenberger (Berger), aged 89 years of Moose Jaw and formerly of Marquis, SK, passed away on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 4th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Marquis, SK.  Father Louis Nguyen will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place in St. John’s Cemetery.  A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011 at 7:00 p.m in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Mary was born February 6th, 1922 in Central Butte, SK.  She has been in Marquis the past 66 years, living on the family farm until last year when she moved to Mulberry Estates in Moose Jaw. Mary was a 62 year C.W.L. member, was an excellent seamstress, cook and baker (especially fresh buns every Saturday).  She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Barbara Berger; her husband, Joe Waldenberger; infant twin daughters; brothers, George, Jake, Joe, Nick, John and Peter; sisters, Katie Kaip, Daisy Thiede, Margaret Deilson and Barbara Schneider; brothers-in-law, George Waldenberger and Ulrich Waldenberger; sisters-in-law, Mary Guillaume, Dora McCann, Agnes Lovett, Rose Stevens and Sister Ulrich; plus several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Mary will be lovingly remembered by her family: Rose Marie (Helmut) Block, Ken (Shirley) Waldenberger, Carol (Lorne) Lansdall, Reg (Deb) Waldenberger, Jim (Vanessa) Waldenberger and Les Waldenberger; grandchildren: Karen (Andrew) Finn, Sheri Block, Chad Waldenberger, Lisa (Sheldon) Watkins, Kimberly, Justin, Jennifer, David Lansdall, Robyn Waldenberger, Ryan Waldenberger, Amanda (Tyler) Pilipow, and Heather, Kendra, Brett, Erica and Emma Waldenberger; great-grandchildren: Brighton, Paighton, and Jax Finn, and Carter Pilipow; and numerous other relatives.  Donations in Mary’s name may be made to St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Box 54, Marquis, SK S0H 2X0.
