Terry Walchuk
Terry Walchuk, aged 61 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away Saturday, September 17th, 2011. Terry was born in Qu’Appelle, SK in 1950. He moved to Moose Jaw in 1955 where he attended St. Agnes School, St. Louis College and graduated from Vanier Collegiate. He then took masonry at STI in Moose Jaw. He started his masonry career at Gracom. He received his apprenticeship under the direction of Art Heisler and went on to work with Walchuk Masonry for 25 years. He was a person that was easy to make friends with and you always remained his friend. Your first impression of him was a lasting impression. He had an infectious laugh that everybody would recognize. Terry was very outgoing, the life of the party and being very witty, always had a quick comeback. He loved Warriors hockey games, golfing and played hockey with the Dirty 30’s. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Violet Walchuk. He married Joanne Clark in 1977 and together they had two children, Terann (Jered) Craig of Moose Jaw, SK and Josh (Amber Myers) of Saskatoon, SK and his children were the most important part of his life. Terry is also survived by brothers, Murray and Rob (Cheryl); sisters, Rita Hampton (Doug Borrill) and Mary Ellen (Dale) Pratte; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 23rd, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave. N.W., Moose Jaw, SK. Father Louis Nguyen will officiate and interment will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
