Wesley “Ralph” Wadham
Wesley “Ralph” Wadham, aged 84 years of Moose Jaw, SK., passed away on May 21st, 2017 at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital. Ralph was born on the farm near Maryfield, SK. and received his education at Hillcrest School. He was a mechanic by trade, working several places before his career with the Department of Highways, in which he worked for 20 years before retiring in 1987. Ralph was a foster parent for 31 years, housing 70 children through the time. He loved camping, dancing, playing pool and visiting as well as playing guitar in several bands. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Jenny Wadham; infant brother George; sisters, Daisy Wadham and Bev Smith; brothers-in-law, Raymond Smith, Henry Rowand, David Garvey and Winston McCutcheon; foster daughter, Margaret Wadham; great grandson, Braden Wadham, stillborn grandson, Dustyn and grandson Ryan Ironeagle. Ralph will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lillian; sons, Richard (Janet) and family, Leroy (Chris) and family, Dennis (Gillian) and family; daughters, Mary (Greg) Loewan and family, Cathy Wadham and family, Lana Wadham and family; siblings, Edwin (Hazel) Wadham, Irene Rowand, Keith (Lil) Wadham, Alene (Bob) Kivimaki, Lynn Garvey and Karen McCutcheon; brother-in law Garth (Elain) Lund, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Time of Fellowship to honor Ralph’s life will be held on Thursday, May 25th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Flowers are gratefully declined, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Ralph’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to send out a special thank you to the staff at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital, Pioneers Lodge and the Maguire Centre at Providence Place.
