Mona’s beautiful heart stopped beating on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim; her sister, Viola Parker (Marzolf); and her brothers Neil and Ivan Marzolf. Mona is survived by her children: Ron (Loda Mae) of Saskatoon, SK, Brian (Faye) of Beaumont, AB, Judy McConnell (Paul) of Regina, SK and David (Twyla) of Saskatoon, SK; her loving grandchildren: Heather Howatt (Dwayne), Erin Loomer (Robert), Scott Voisey, Alexandra Voisey, Marcy St. Pierre (Jesse Chartier), Brittany St. Pierre (Joel Duncan), Morgan Voisey, Drew and Colton Voisey; and many great-grandchildren. Mona was born, raised and later married and farmed around the town of Central Butte, SK. She and her husband retired to Central Butte and she became very active in the community. Mona was an incredible mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother, and a loyal and caring friend. Mona’s loves were many but fishing was her biggest love. She spent many an hour out on Diefenbaker Lake and along its’ shores catching her fair share of fish. There were times when she would even out fish her husband Jim. Mona also loved to play cards. If you ever stopped by her house to visit, out came a deck of cards and many hours of playing would follow. She was the most gracious hostess and you were always welcome and made to feel at home in her home. Another love of Mona’s was quilting. She created many beautiful quilts and memories that her family will hold dear to their hearts. She will be greatly missed – “Good Night Sweet Angel”. The family would like to say a special Thank You to the medical staff of the Moose Jaw Union Hospital and especially Dr. Marx for the excellent and loving care she received. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 10th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Central Butte United Church, Central Butte, SK. Pastor Doug Neufeld will officiate and interment will take place at Central Butte Cemetery. A Time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 8th, 2015 at 7 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.
