Annie Veronelly (nee Rau)
January 17th, 1929 – August 5th, 2009
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 8th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Rouleau United Church. Annie was predeceased by her husband Norman, grandson Joshua, brothers Adolf and Philip, and sisters Mary and Katie. She is survived by her children, Rick, Cathy, Jim (Yvonne), Marlene (Nick), Wendy (Perry), Bruce (Sandra), Lenore (Darby), Harold, and James (Sue); and her brother George (Valerie); as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends. Mom married Dad on May 15th, 1951 and spent her next years raising her many children. She belonged to the Royal Purple Lodge for a number of years. Annie spent many hours embroidering and making quilts which are special keepsakes with all members of the family. One of Mom’s greatest pastimes was playing cards. She loved the sound of our change falling into her money pot. Mom spent 4 years living in Calgary with Marlene and Nick, before returning to Moose Jaw, where High Park Towers became home to her. “Mom, you have touched many lives throughout the years”. We love you. Flowers are gratefully declined. For those so wishing, memorial donations in honour of Annie may be made to the Neo-Natal Unit of the Regina General Hospital, 1400 14th Ave., Regina, Sask. S4P 0W5.
