Rose Varley
On December 23rd, 2009, just a week after celebrating her 94th birthday, Rose Varley slipped peacefully away to spend her first Christmas with Jesus. She resided at Providence Place. Predeceased by her husband Vic, son Don, parents Nellie and Melvin and brothers Cliff and Cecil, she leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Heather (Swanee) and daughter-in-law Helen and their families: Grant (Velda), Ray (Tammie), Shannon, Darren (Dena), Greg (Debbie), Nigel and Todd as well as great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gordon, sisters-in-law Marjorie and Dorothy as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom will be remembered for her many escapades with her long time friend Phyllis Ludke and her love of sweets, chocolate milk and ice cream. She looked forward to attending church each week and the hugs she would get from her special little friend Taylor Lewis, lunch with family afterwards, bi-weekly trips to Bonanza for supper with Helen and was quick to accept any outing offers. The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 30th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Gonyou will officiate. Private family burial will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made payable to The Gideons, P.O.
