Val Edward Valgardsson
It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Val Edward Valgardsson, a loving son, brother, uncle, father. Val passed away on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in a circle of love.
He was predeceased by his father, Norman; his maternal grandparents, Ed and Cora Morrison; and paternal grandparents, Val and Thora Valgardsson. Val is survived by his mother, Joanne; daughters, Sasha and Alexis; brother, Todd (Arlene); sister, Tracy (Gary); nieces: Mary-Jo, Jennifer (Mason), Trisha (Dan), Shannon (Randal), and TJ; nephews, Adrian (Adine) and London (Itoah); as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and other extended family members.
Known for his infectious sense of humor, Val had a knack for brightening the darkest of days with his quick wit. Val was a true people person, effortlessly forging connections and forming friendships wherever he went.
An early riser by nature, Val demonstrated an unwavering commitment to living each day to the fullest, embracing every opportunity with zest and enthusiasm. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passions for golfing, skiing, fly fishing, and swimming, activities that brought him immense joy and tranquility throughout his life.
In 2000, Val established his own tax consulting business in Moose Jaw, SK. Recognizing the allure of the Okanagan lifestyle, Val expanded his business to Kelowna, BC in 2016, where he flourished professionally while immersing himself in the region’s natural beauty and vibrant community.
Though he may be gone from our sight, his memory will forever remain etched in our hearts, a beacon of light and laughter that will guide us through the days ahead.
