Elie Ursu

Elie Ursu, aged 83 years of Moose Jaw, SK., passed away Sunday, November 21st, 2010.  A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 25th, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Father John Bingham will officiate and burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.  Elie moved from Kayville, SK. in 1949 to pursue a career with the City of Moose Jaw.  He retired in 1991 as the General Foreman of the Streets and Roads Division.  Elie was predeceased by his parents, Vasile and Lichera and his brothers, Paul, Peter, Don and Roy.  Elie leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 62 years, Mary; son, Brian; sisters, Irene Pope, Ilene Brechka, Ginger Punga and Sue Boze; sister-in-law, Helen Namtu and brother-in-law, George (Norma) Olarie; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elie’s name to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, SK. S6H 1H3.
