Miriam Stella Turnbull
Miriam Stella Turnbull (nee Willard) passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12th, 2009 at the Regina General Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband Jack; sister Verna Neff; brothers Reid and Jack Willard; sister-in-law Florence (Willard) Koshnysh; and brothers-in-law Alex Neff, Gordon Cameron and Bobby Wendt. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her sisters Beatrice Cameron and twin MargaretWendt. “Auntie Mimi” took great delight in visiting with and hearing from her 11 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews, and 8 great great nieces and nephews. “Ginger” as she was affectionately called, was raised at Eyebrow and spent her working years in the shoe department of Eaton’s in Moose Jaw. She enjoyed curling and bowling in the winter and golf and lawn bowling in the summer. Ginger kept up on sports via television, even hockey and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. A Funeral Service to celebrate Ginger’s life will be held on Thursday, September 17th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Thomson of Trinity United Church will officiate and a private family burial will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Ginger has requested that donations be sent to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, Sask. S6H 9Z9.
