(Thomas) Lloyd Tuplin
(Thomas) Lloyd Tuplin passed away peacefully at Providence Place in Moose Jaw on October 29th, 2011 and went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Lloyd was born November 30th, 1918 in Chamberlain, SK where he attended the community school; he received most of his high school education in Moose Jaw. During his early years he worked with his father on the farm and later bought a farm of his own situated ten miles east of Moose Jaw. He married his long time sweetheart, Dorothy Hannah, on December 22nd, 1950. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, “Dot”; his children Scott (Joyce) of Pilot Butte, Margo Melby (Mark) of Regina, Joan Klotz (Fred) of Naples, FL, Dale (Carol) of Moose Jaw, Merle Tuplin of Regina, and Glen (Donna-Joy) of Medicine Hat; grandchildren Theresa Gillis (Mike), Duane Melby (Heidi Walbaum), Matt Melby, Zac Klotz (Chelsea), April Staffieri (Ryan), Kristen Klotz, Kodi Klotz, Tyler Mills, Kari Ferozedin (Timothy), Jordan Mills (Raelynne), Jade Tuplin, and Jared Tuplin; great-grandchildren Deklan Gillis, Brooklyn McCammon, Danika Klotz, Natalia, Brayden and Jude Staffieri, and Treyton Ferozedin, as well as step grandchildren Tracy Martell (Rocky) and Travis Brown (Michelle) and step great-grandchildren Dayton Martell and Malia Brown. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Mildred Tuplin; his brother-in-law Gordon Grogan; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended relatives. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, William and Charlotte Tuplin; his sister, Ruby Grogan; and brothers Manly (in childbirth), John and Gordon Tuplin. In retirement Lloyd and Dorothy enjoyed travelling and working as volunteers in warmer climates. Lloyd loved extended family gatherings; he particularly loved his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his gentle manner, his devotion to Dot, his affection for his family, his love for God, and his willingness to help anyone in need. The family wishes to thank the staff at Providence Place for care provided for Lloyd and the support to our family. A Service Celebrating Lloyd’s Life will be held on Sunday, November 6th, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Alliance Church, Thatcher Drive & 9th Ave. N.W. A private family interment will take place at Chamberlain Cemetery at a later date. Rev. Wayne Boldt will officiate.
