Bernice Olive Tremain
Mrs. Bernice Olive Tremain, aged 91 years of Extendicare, Moose Jaw, Sask., passed away on Wednesday, October 31st, 2007. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 9th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home (268 Mulberry Lane) with Pastor Steve Atkins officiating. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Mrs. Tremain was born in Gas Center, Kansas on February 28th, 1916, coming with her family to Canada at an early age. Mrs. Tremain settled with family at Tuxford, Sask. around 1934. She married Howard Tremain in 1935 and together they settled and farmed in the Drinkwater district. Predeceased by Howard on April 3rd, 1980; great-granddaughter, Amy Jo-Lene Francis on December 23rd, 1989 and a son-in-law, Calvin M. Francis in 2001. Bernice is survived by two daughters: Marilyn Francis of Calgary, AB and Shirley (Gord) Jorstad of Kelowna, B.C.; one brother, Ken (Kathy) Brawdy of Moose Jaw; two cousins: Marguerite McCoy of Los Angeles and Austin Brawdy of Moose Jaw; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and numerous neices and nephews. Mrs. Tremain loved to cook and play golf with Dad at their winter home in McAllen, Texas.
