Stuart (Stu) Everett Traill
Sept. 26th, 1934 – May 24th, 2009
On Sunday, May 24th, 2009 Stu passed away peacefully in his sleep after a short battle with cancer. Stu was born in Cardross, Saskatchewan to Ralph and Mary Traill. Stu received his education in Moose Jaw. He was employed at Robin Hood Mills, Cavern Wells and C&E Plumbing & Heating, then S.P.M.C. until his retirement in 1999. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time at his cabin at the lake, watching baseball, hockey and the Saskatchewan Roughriders on TV. He also enjoyed working with his hands and power tools making bird houses, bird feeders and lawn ornaments. Stu is predeceased by his father Ralph (1965), his mother Mary (1994), and his brother Milo (1999). Stu leaves to mourn his son, daughter and their children. He will be deeply missed by his special friend and companion Marlene Eastwood and her daughters and their families; his beloved K-9 companion Rex; and his good friends Eugene “Woody” & Connie Erickson and Murray & Ev Suley. A Memorial in celebration of Stu’s life will take place on Monday, June 1st, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Thomson of Trinity United Church will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.
