Rupert Tatton
Rupert Tatton passed away March 20, 2007 at the age of 75 years. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 24 th, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Pastor Larry Hasmatali will officiate. Rupert was predeceased by his mother Elsie and father Jack, as well as five sisters Joannie, Connie, Lily, Betty and Ivy. Rupert was born in Grimsby , England on May 15, 1931. While in Grimsby, he attained a journeyman’s status in automotive and diesel mechanics. He moved to Saskatoon in 1953. He worked at Mid City Motors for eight years as a mechanic, as well as a service salesman. In 1958, he married Madeline Tatton (Baker). In 1966, he went to work for the Canadian Pacific Railway. He worked as a carman and was then appointed as an assistant locomotive foreman in 1979. That same year, Rupert and his family moved to Moose Jaw. Rupert retired from CPR in 1992. Rupert was a member of the Masonic Lodge, as well as a Shriner. Rupert also gave his time to the scouting movement for many years. Rupert always had a very giving heart. He always put his family first and the people he cared deeply about. Everything he did, he gave his utmost and worked very hard to achieve it. He leaves to mourn his wife Madeline; his son Norman and his daughter Michelle (Dwight Gulutzan). He will be very sadly missed.
