Mathias Michael Stefan

April 17th, 1933 – November 12th, 2016

Mathias Michael Stefan, aged 83 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 at Extendicare.  He was predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth Stefan; brothers, Leonard and Johnny; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer Vargo and Eva Earl, and daughter-in-law, Lana Stefan.  Matt will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Shirley; children: Blair (Laurie) Stefan, Randy (Brenda) Stefan, Sally Tigar (Bob Meggeson), and Brent Stefan (Kathryn Gillert); 1 granddaughter, 4 grandsons, 4 great-grandsons, and 2 great-granddaughters; twin sister, Marie Hoffart; sister, Gertrude Schmidt; as well as numerous other relatives.  A Private Family Gathering will be held at a later date.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Matt’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
