Beth Gloria Statham

Beth Gloria Statham of Moose Jaw, SK., passed away at home on Wednesday, May 26th, 2010.  Beth was born on May 4th, 1958 in Kamploops, BC.  She spent most of her childhood in Surrey, BC.  After graduation, Beth followed her desire of assisting others by taking Early Childhood Education which lead her to a career in Smithers, BC.  There she met David Thomson, whom she married and started a family with.  From there they moved to Rockglen, SK. where Beth fell in love with the country lifestyle of the prairies and lovingly devoted her time as a mother.  As the children grew, she continued her passion of caring for people by working as a special care aid, most recently at Providence Place in Moose Jaw.  Beth was deeply impacted by the passing of her mother Doreen VanHorne in 1996.  Beth is lovingly remembered by her children, Jessica(Luc) Prefontaine and Levi (Amber) Thomson; their father David (Glennis) Thomson, husband James Statham; father Dale VanHorne; brothers Richard (Celinda) VanHorne, and Darrell (Chloe) VanHorne.  Beth will be forever in the hearts of the peoples lives that she touched as she cared deeply for all people and animals she met.  A Memorial Gathering will be held at Canopus Community Hall, Canopus, SK. located 13 miles SW of Rockglen, SK. on highway #2 on Sunday, June 6th, 2010 at 3pm.  Cremation has already taken place.
