Elsie Speir

Elsie Speir (nee Smith) of Eyebrow, Saskatchewan passed away at the Assiniboia Union Hospital, on Saturday, February 20th, 2010. She was born November 3rd, 1928 to Frank and Lizzie Smith at Lacadena, Saskatchewan. Elsie was predeceased by her husband John Speir, granddaughter Amanda Speir and her grandson Aaron Brandon. She will be lovingly missed by her son Brad Speir (Pam), daughter Jan Pushkar (Gord), son Fraser Speir (Bev), daughter MarlaBrandon (Todd); grandchildren Kris, Kurt, Noelle, Evan, Stacey (Brett), Tammy (Randy), David, Tanis (Dave), Ceilidh, Raegan, Chad (Danielle), Lucas; great grandchildren Rhett, C.J., Taun, Isaiah and Austin; as well as her very special friend and companion Don Shields. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 27th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Eyebrow Memorial Hall. Rev. Rick McCorrister will officiate and burial will take place in the Eyebrow Cemetery at a later date. Elsie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies included gardening, dancing, travelling, quilting and camping. She also enjoyed volunteering and spending time at the Seniors Centre.
