Frederick William Smith
Frederick William Smith (Freddie) aged 91 years of Courval, SK, passed away on Monday, October 21st, 2024. Freddie was born on the “Beautiful Shores” of Old Wives Lake, SK to Fred and Edith Smith on August 27th, 1933. He married Donna Boyton from the neighbouring community of Lillestrom, SK on October 20th, 1962.
He was predeceased by his father and mother; brother, Jim; his sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Freddie is survived by his wife, Donna; sons: Roy, Ross (Karin), and David (Wanda); granddaughters: Savanah (Tanner), Katelyn, and Kelly; great-grandchildren: Rylee, Paul, and Xameera; sisters, Peg Barnett and Sheila Luch; brothers: Bob, Bill (Sheila), and Ed (Bona); as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Freddie’s Life will be held on Monday, October 28th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Golden Mile Arena, 250 Thatcher Dr E in Moose Jaw. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

As I will be unable to attend the celebration condolences from my family. I had lots of great conversations with the soft spoken Freddie! Always enjoyed seeing him and chatting when he would look after Bobs shop.
