Maggie “Minnie” Sims
Maggie “Minnie” Sims (nee Smuk) of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Minnie was born on October 12th, 1925 on the family farm near Hodgeville, Sask. She married Raymond Sims on January 12th, 1952 and together they raised their family in Chaplin. Raymond and Minnie spent their retirement in Moose Jaw. Minnie was predeceased by her husband Raymond on February 2nd, 2009; her parents; one brother; and 5 sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Carolynnand Marlene (Ken); her son Myron (Karen); and their families; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers. For those so wishing, donations in Minnie’s name may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, Sk., S7K 2H8. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Extendicare for their compassion and care of Mom. The Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 19th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chaplin Cemetery. Minnie and Raymond will both be laid to rest at that time. A time of fellowship will follow the service at the Chaplin Hall.
