Erenhard Armin Silzer

Erenhard Armin Silzer, aged 86 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Wednesday, March 14th, 2012.  A Celebration of Ernie’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 7th, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.  Ernie was predeceased by his loving wife, Evelyn in 2009; parents, John and Caroline; brothers, Albert and Leonard; and his sister, Margaret Averill.  He will be forever missed by his children: Gordon (Lori), Caroline (David) Burns, James (Marilyn), Jean (Al) Shiek and Roland (Ruth); 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; his brothers, William (Marcella) and Ray (Beth); and his sisters, Emma Boghean and Anne Rogers.  Also remembering him are extended family members and friends.  The family thanks the staff and volunteers at Pioneers Lodge for the loving care given to Ernie since 2004.  For those so wishing, donations in Ernie’s name may be made to Pioneers Lodge, 1000 Albert St., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 2Y2 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK S7H 2H8.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Jeff Ofstie, Funeral Director. 693-4550.
