ETHEL (SMITH) SILVESTER

It is with great sorrow that our family says goodbye to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and neighbour. Mom was born on September 20, 1923 and passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 14, 2011 at the age of 87.

Ethel will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 65 years, Oscar; her three sons:Bryan of Swift Current, Brent (Karen) of Chaplin and Terrance (Geraldine) of Chaplin; grandchildren, Amy (Troy) McInnis of Regina, Tristan Silvester of Chaplin, Sharlene (Greg) Myketiak of Moose Jaw and Derek (Ambyr) Wakeford of Chaplin; great-grandchildren, Liam and Cally Rose McInnis, Gavin Myketiak, and Nevaeh, Michaela and Avery Wakeford.  She is survived by sister Hilda Sheptycki of Nanaimo, BC, brother Mark (Emma) Smith of Swift Current, sister-in-law Phyllis Silvester of Sarnia, Ontario, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her parents Mark and Martha Smith, Dad’s parents Walter and Lucy Silvester, brother Albert and sister-in-law Eva Smith, brothers-in-law Roy Sheptycki, Norman Silvester, Lloyd Silvester, sister and brother-in-law Grace and William Street, and nephews Roy Sheptycki and Norman Street. A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, January 18th, 2011 at 2:00 pm in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Marvin Seaborg will officiate. Burial will take place in the family plot at Droxford at a later date.
