Melvin James Shortland

Melvin James Shortland of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away on Sunday, August 30th, 2009 at the age of 64 years. A Celebration of Mel’s Life will be held at a luncheon on Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 561 Home St. West. Please feel welcome to attend. Cremation will take place and interment will be held at a later date.Mel was predeceased by his mother Mabel; his father-in-law Bill Winn; and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife Marg; sons Steven (Elaine) and Patrick; his father Bill Shortland; brothers Rick (Islay) and Dennis (Darlene); his sister Kathy (Jay); and six grandchildren Michael, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Mathew, Megan and Brittanie. He will also be missed by sisters-in-law Norma (Gus) and Wilda (Merv); his uncle Gord (Joan); Jody Shortland; George Elsom; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
