They were blessed with five boys, Michael (Lori), Dwayne, Thomas (Nancy), Edward (Trisha) and Shaun. She had many passions in life including family, nursing, photography and genealogy to name a few. She spent many summers at the family cabin at Lake Diefenbaker where people were always welcomed with open arms. Although there were many people in Shirley’s life, her grandchildren were always at the top of her list. She was blessed with seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Ryan, Andrea, Karli, Mitchell, Daniel, Avery, Clare, Taylor and Brooklynn. She trained as a nurse in Moose Jaw from 1958 to 1961 and then was employed for many years at both the Providence and Union Hospitals until her retirement in 1998. Even though retired, the nurse in Shirley never left her. Shirley was predeceased by her parents John and Ruth, her husband Roy, and her son Shaun. Flowers are gratefully declined. For those so wishing, Memorial donations in Shirley’s name maybe made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. East, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, S6H 1H3.
