Hilda Selensky (née Rusitch)

Hilda Selensky (née Rusitch), aged 78 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away with her loving family by her side, after a short courageous battle with cancer, on Thursday, July 7th, 2016.  Hilda was born on the family farm in the Waldron District.  She married Larry Selensky in Grayson, SK on June 6th, 1960.  They were blessed to celebrate their 56th Wedding Anniversary this year.  Hilda worked at Valley View Centre and SaskTel.  A devoted wife and mother, she chose to stay at home and raise their children, who were the loves of her life.  She felt blessed with every one of her grandchildren and they always put a smile on her face and in her heart.  She was predeceased by her son, Randall in 2015.  Hilda will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Larry; children: Brian, Calvin (Dawn) and their children Jennifer and Kyle, Kathy (Kirby) and their children Caitlin, Chelsey, Josie and Jared, Arlene and her daughter Samantha, and Grant (Claire); daughter-in-law, Deanna and her children Christopher, Brenda and David; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.  In keeping with Hilda’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Hilda’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
