Gladys Pauline Seida (nee Ivers)
Gladys Pauline Seida (nee Ivers) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, January 3rd, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; her parents, Bill and Eva Ivers; 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her children: Bill (Lynda), Steven (Lynn), Bonnie (Gary), Wally (Norine) and J.R.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and her siblings: Darlene (Sidney) Woodrow, Shirley Jackson, Georgina Webb of BC, June (Eric) Mallmes of Calgary, AB, and Ed (Grace) Ivers of BC. Gladys was born on May 21st, 1920 in Briercrest, SK and enjoyed the life of a large family, having fun with her 14 brothers and sisters. She later moved to Moose Jaw where she met and married Albert Seida on October 24th, 1944. Together they raised their own family of five. Gladys was a devoted wife and mother and took pride and care of her family, while also following her flair for fashion and working as manager of Mademoiselle Dress Shop and later Reitman’s. Her family will miss her quick wit, tough as nails attitude and bold wisdom. In keeping with Gladys’ wishes, there will be no Funeral Service and a family memorial will be held at a later date to celebrate her life. Flowers are gratefully declined.
