George James Sears

George James Sears, aged 82 years of Moose Jaw, SK., passed away November 3rd, 2010.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 6th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church.  Father Rick Krofchek will be the presiding celebrant and interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.  A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, November 5th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Army, Navy and Air Force Rites will be conducted by Dayle Evenson.  George was born in Brantford, ON. and married Mary Berger on May 23rd, 1955.  George served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 27 years and during his service was a member of the United Nations Peace Keeping Force.  After retiring in Moose Jaw he had various jobs including working at Great West Tire.  George was a loving husband and father.  He was predeceased by his parents, 1 sister and 3 brothers.  George will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Mary; sons Doug (Deb), David (Heather), Gary (Patti) and Gord (Theresa); daughter Linda (Gary) Nobel; 7 grandchildren: Leesa (Kevin) Langford, Greg (Tanya), Leanne (Kevin) Head, Gary Jr. (Amanda), Aimee (Brad) Petroschuk, Tyler and Jarrod; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Bill (Bridget) and Leonard; sister Lillian and numerous other relatives.  Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917A Albert St., Regina, SK., S4R 2P6 or to St. Joseph’s Church, 1064 3rd Ave. NW, Moose Jaw, SK., S6H 3T9.
