Katherine (O’Brien) Schwarz

Katherine (O’Brien) Schwarz passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 18th, 2010, after a short illness. The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Rev. Lynne Clarke will officiate. Katherine was predeceased by her first husband Harold O’Brien; second husband Ben Schwarz; daughter Joan; and son Carl. She is survived by sons Roy (Gwen) O’Brien and Larry (Kathy) O’Brien; daughter Myrna (Jim) McLean; daughter-in-law Sheila; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. Kay lived at Lake Valley, Saskatchewan and at Lillooet, B.C., Boston Bar, B.C., and Hope, B.C. She moved back to Moose Jaw in 2007. Mom lived at The Bentley and enjoyed the staff, the residents and the activities during her time there. The family wishes to thank everyone at The Bentley for helping make her last years so pleasant. The family also wishes to thank Dr. Van Rensburg and all the staff on First Floor, Union Hospital for all their care during her short stay. No flowers please.
