Schwab, Carlton Andrew (Carl)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carlton on Tuesday, September 25th, 2007 at the age of 89 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Carlton was born on July 18th, 1918 in Meyronne, Sask. He was predeceased by his parents Carleton Henry and Bertha Schwab; wife Lena; two brothers John and Lloyd; two sisters Bernice and Iris; sister in law Kate Schwab; three brothers in law Norman Bechard, Darwin Haugen and George Wiome. He is survived by daughter Carleen; son Don (Del) and grandson Brett; as well as one sister Ailene (Bill) Bechard; one sister in law Charlotte Wiome; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He served his country in World War II. He was very active in the Royal Canadian Legion. He managed the Moose Jaw Pony Baseball League for a number of years. He enjoyed baseball and hockey. In his later years, he enjoyed gardening and caring for his beautiful yard with his wife Lena. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 29th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Padre Doug Shepherd will officiate and interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Royal Canadian Legion Rites will be conducted by Chuck MacMillan of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #59. A time of fellowship will follow at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.
