Ida was predeceased by her parents Pete & Tillie Olive; infant daughter Susan; her husband Earl; infant grandson Colter Gleim; parents-in-law Bub and Susie Scandrett; her son Wallace Scandrett; and her spouse Clifford Goettler. Left to celebrate Ida’s life are her son Warren (Lois) of Moose Jaw and their children Amanda and Aaron (Amber Stevenson); her daughter Perri (Dave) Gleim of Chaplin and their children Nakita and Savannah; Wallace’s children Celine (Kurtis Hicks) and Jesse; her brother Albert (Carol) Olive of Niagara Falls and his children Peter (Shawna) and Wendy (Stephen) Goertz and their families; brother-in-law Glen Scandrett of Chaplin; sister-in-law Joyce Elliott of Moose Jaw and her children Blaine (Mary) and Barry (Leigh Ann) and their families. Ida, fondly referred to by her grandchildren as Honima, was a homemaker and active community member in Chaplin. She had wonderful memories of the many boarders she hosted in her home. Ida’s home was always a refuge. After Earl’s passing she made numerous friends selling Pirjo Liisa Fashions throughout Southern Saskatchewan, where she showed her flair for fashion and sales. In 1989 Ida moved to Moose Jaw to be with spouse Cliff Goettler. Ida and Cliff loved to travel making friends wherever they went. After Cliff’s passing she continued her love of sales, family and friends. Whoever became Ida’s friend became Ida’s family! For those so wishing, donations in memory of Ida may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. W., Moose Jaw, Sask. S6H 2M2.
