Edward Andrew Saathoff
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Andrew Saathoff on Sunday, August 28th, 2016 at the age of 79 years. Edward was born June 18th, 1937 in Eston, Saskatchewan. Edward attended Bechtel School. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Adala Saathoff; brothers: John, Arnold, Alvin and Carl; sisters, Rosa Gerl (Walter) and Betty McLeod (Gorden). Edward will be lovingly remembered by his children: Scott (Leatta), Melissia and Ginnia; their mother, Carolyn; grandchildren: Wayne (Teryn), Tonya (Matt), Tyler and Harley; sisters: Silva Mould (George), Ruby Zumstein (Alymer), Caroline Greenacre (Bill), Darlene Johnson (Fred), and Marie Easterby (Gene); brother, Raymond (Doreen); sisters-in-law, Carol and Gertrude; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Edward was a hard-working man from the young age of 14 years at a sheep farm. He retired from W.F. Botkin as a Heavy Equipment Operator at age of 67 years. Edward lived east of Moose Jaw on a farm then moved to town in 1977, moving to the Churchill area of Moose Jaw. Edward had a love for horses and saddle bronc riding. In later years, following retirement, Edward’s passion was gardening. Edward was well known at Tim Hortons and will be missed by his coffee buddies. A Celebration of Edward’s Life will be held on Tuesday, September 6th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Community Hall in Lacadena, Saskatchewan with a graveside burial and lunch to follow at the Community Hall.
