Velma Jean Rogers

Velma Jean Rogers, aged 88 years of Moose Jaw passed away on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017.  Velma was born and educated in Moose Jaw.  She married James Rogers and the two of them immediately moved to Columbia.  Together they later lived in Africa, Peru and finally residing in Kamloops until James passed away, at which time Velma moved back to Moose Jaw to be closer to her son.  She was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Emma Conway; her husband James and daughter-in-law Sandy on the same day.  Velma will be lovingly remembered by her son Brian; daughter Rosemary; grandson Curtis; granddaughter Stacey Higgs and two great-grandchildren Adriene and Brett.  In keeping with Velma’s wishes, a private family burial will take place.   As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation 55 Diefenbaker Drive, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 0C2.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
