Virginia Alice “Jean” Roberts

Virginia Alice “Jean” Roberts of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away on Thursday, February 4th, 2010 at the age of 82, with her grandson Jordan at her side. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Thomson of Trinity United Church will officiate. Jean was predeceased by her parents Frank and May Savino; her sister Grace (Red) Costin; her brother Victor (Myrtle) Savino; and her son Jimmy. She is survived by her brother Matthew (Lorraine) Savino; sons Joe, John and Jerry; daughter Susan; and grandchildren Jimmy, Trent, Toni, Patti, Cassie, Matthew and Jordan. She enjoyed her last days with a special great grandson Robert James. Jean was born October 21st, 1927 and raised in Toronto, moving out to Saskatchewan in 1961. She worked at various jobs including Valley View Centre, Pioneer Lodge and Moose Jaw Union Hospital. She retired due to poor health at the age of 60 years. She spent her days enjoying her grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles, reading books and playing bingo. Her family was her world. Flowers are gratefully declined.
