Marion Riley (nee Toots Douglas)
With heavy hearts we announce that Marion Riley (nee Toots Douglas) passed peacefully away at Providence Place on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 at the age of 89 years. Born in Moose Jaw on November 15th, 1925, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank (1983); infant son, Doug (1948); grandsons: Adam, Patrick and her beloved Bryan; as well as her 7 siblings. Marion will be remembered by her children: Lynne (Roy) Wall of 100 Mile House, BC, Joanne (Dennis) Endicott of Champion, AB, Frank (Marsha) Riley of Gold Canyon, Arizona, Mary Janzen (Cyril Brock) of Oliver, BC and Maureen (Barry) Arseneau of Moose Jaw, SK; grandchildren: Rosanne Londeau, Lisa Wall, Paul (Tracey) Endicott, Denise (Dave) Endicott, Frank (Jodie) Riley Jr, Brenda (Clayton) Zurowski, Heather (Eric) Nyiri, Chelsea (Travis) Arseneau, Riley (Kelvin) Arseneau and Mike (Jessica) Brock; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruby Douglas (Neil); as well as numerous special nieces, nephews and friends. Marion was a Past-Provincial President of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary as well as a proud member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was spirited, strong and proud and we were so very fortunate and proud to call her Mom and Grandma. A Celebration of Marion’s Life will be held on Tuesday, September 29th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Father Jake Ibay will officiate and a private family interment will be held at Rosedale Cemetery at a later date. Legion Rites will be conducted by Dan MacAulay of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #59. Flowers are gratefully declined.
