Erna Rempel
Erna Rempel, aged 89 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Wednesday, December 9th, 2020. Erna was born to Isaac and Mary Rempel in 1931, on the farm seven miles north east of Hodgeville, SK. Erna and her twin sister Ella were the 5th and 6th children born into the family, making total of ten children – enough to form a ball team. She attended the Fair Valley one-room country school 1 ½ miles northwest of the family farm until grade eight after which she stayed home to help on the farm. A few years later, Erna attend Bible College at Caronport, SK for three years. After graduation she joined the staff at Caronport and worked there for 41 years, with the last few years spent working with the girls residence training them to be good housekeepers. After retirement, Erna kept busy with many activities such as swimming, bowling, doing crafts and planning activities for the seniors at Caronport.
She was predeceased by her siblings: Helmut Rempel, Wilfred Rempel, Freda (Charlie) Dakue, Anne (Wilfred) Stevens, Gertie McKay, and Lydia Rempel. Erna will be lovingly remembered by her siblings: Kurt (Joan) Rempel, Hulda (Chuck) Ferio, and Ella Cook; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Kelstern Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Erna’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice. I am so sorry to hear of Erna’s passing. May you find comfort in knowing she is with the Lord and your memories of times shared.
I have known Erna for many years not only as a friend but as one of my Avon customers.You will be missed by so many.

Erna was a wonderful Godly lady! She was warm hearted and kind. We always admired her beautiful purple petunias and nicely kept yard.

Though I did not know Mrs.Remple well. I do remember seeing her in chruch every Sunday morning while we lived in Caronport , or down at what we use to call the “S.S” .She would be there from time to time with friends having coffee.
A very Godly woman that was a Blessing to have met and be around.
