Beloved Son of Jean and the Late Donald K. Ramsay.  Predeceased by his father and Grandparents Nella and George Joyes, formally of Conquest, SK and David and Lilyan Ramsay of Qu’Appelle.  He is survived by his Mother Jean; his brothers and their families, Garth and Barb of Port Coquitlam, BC and Bob and Michelle of Regina.  John has been a resident of Moose Jaw since October 1961.  Being mentally and physically handicapped since birth, John was admitted to the Valley View Centre Moose Jaw where he resided until 1984.  He then moved to the Citizens All residence until poor health required him to be a resident of Extendicare in Moose Jaw, SK until his death.  Because of his cheerful and friendly nature, John made many friends among his caregivers and his peers.  A Memorial Service will be held in the Calvin Goforth Presbyterian Church at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 20th, 2011.  Address is 1602 Somerfeld Avenue.  The Reverend Darren Dahl – officiant.  In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Cancer Society, Epilepsy Foundation or Camp Easter Seal or a charity of your own choosing.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 6th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Pastor Bill Thomson will officiate and interment will take place in the family plot at Qu’Appelle Cemetery, Qu’Appelle, SK.
