Alice Quan
Alice Quan, aged 77 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 with her family by her side. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 26th, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. A Time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 25th, 2015 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. She was predeceased by her parents, Cheun-ling Tam and Sau-chun Chow; and husband, Wing Yim. Alice will be lovingly remembered by her children: Ken (Ann) of Moose Jaw, SK, Burton (Lorraine) of Calgary, AB and Ernie (Lori) of Moose Jaw, SK; grandchildren: Ryan, Keegan, Colton, Noel, Brandon, Jada and Elizabeth; brothers: Tom, Richard and Gordon; sister, Annie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was born on August 24th, 1938 in Hoiping Kwang tung, China and came to Canada in April of 1965. She married Wing Yim in that same year. Alice worked for Canaday’s Apparel for 21 years and then at her family’s restaurant, the National Café, until her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren, cooking and baking for the family, and making Chinese pastries for family and friends. Alice kept active with Tai Chi, going for walks and tending to her Chinese vegetable garden. Thank you to all of the doctors and nurses for the care given to Alice.
