Dragomir “Drago” Petrovic
Dragomir “Drago” Petrovic, aged 61 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 26th, 2015. He was predeceased by his father, Tihomir and sister, Vesna. Drago will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Aida; son, Gordan; daughter, Ivana (Damon) Cross; mother, Ljubica; sister, Branislava (Savo) Celikovic; brother, Goran (Sladjana); sister-in-law, Sena (Nizo) Hadzic; brother-in-law, Munib (Mujenesa); numerous nieces and nephews; as well as by special families: Amey’s, Scuka’s, Harder’s, Sereda’s and so many others, to many to mention; and Drago’s special friend, Ralphie (beloved family dog). Drago and family immigrated to Canada from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on April 24th, 1996 to Herbert, SK and soon established here in Moose Jaw. Drago was a very hard working man and was dedicated to his family. He was employed at Superstore and with his passion for agriculture, he started his own landscaping business. Drago had a great artistic talent and enjoyed doing stained glass pieces, and on numerous occasions he would donate them to various charities. After he perfected stained glass, he found the love for photography, capturing the beautiful moments of nature and sharing it with all of his friends. He was honoured to be a member of the Knights of Columbus. Drago was a loving, selfless and social man who touched everyone’s life and was looking forward to starting another chapter in his life – becoming a grandfather in January. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, August 31st, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015 at Rosedale Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Drago’s name may be made to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, 9 Lancaster Rd, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 1M8.
