Alan Mark Pernitzky
Alan Mark Pernitzky of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan died suddenly on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009 at the age of 46 years. Alan was born in Vancouver, B.C. on November 19th, 1962 the fifth of six children to Alfred and Anna. He moved from the Fraser Valley with his mother and sisters and brothers to Dawson Creek, B.C. when he was seven. In 1977 his mother and step-father Gerry Stuber and his brother and sister moved to Innisfail, Alberta, where Alan graduated from High School. He enlisted with the Canadian Armed Forces after graduation and met and married his wife of twenty-five years, Donna Burton, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They have two sons Derrick and Tyson both of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. While in the Military Alan has served in many places. He worked his way up from Private to Master Warrant Officer. Alan was predeceased by his older brother Richard in 1975 and his father Alfred in 1998. He has left to mourn his wife Donna and their sons Derrick and Tyson; his mother Anna de Montezuma of Dawson Creek, B.C.; his step-father Gerry Stuber (Gayle) of Red Deer, Alberta; sister Penny (Delvin) Seabrook and their children Laura (Colin) McGregor, Marc (Kary) Seabrook and Emillia Seabrook of Innisfail, Alberta; sister Jeannie Wasylenko of Kelowna, B.C, and her sons Brent of Castlegar, B.C. and Adam (Edie) of Whitehorse, Yukon; sister Lisa Campbell of Leduc, Alberta and her son Aaron of Calgary, Alberta; brother Gerard (Goretti) Pernitzky and their children Kory Ann and Travis of Ottawa, Ontario; in-laws Laraine Parkes of Winnipeg, Manitoba; Richard(Sharelle) Parkes of Gold River, B.C.; Debbie (Angus) MacKinnon and their sons Kyle and Cameron of Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Richard Parkes Jr. (Debbie) of Edmonton, Alberta. The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 14th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Padre David Berezowski will officiate and burial will take place at Beechwood National Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario, at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Alan’s name may be made to the Salvation Army, 175 1st Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw, Sask. S6H 0Y9.
